This course will cover the fundamentals of Ayurveda medical science its Basic Principles and Philosophy, Introductory Anatomy and Physiology of Ayurveda, including Basic understanding of Ayurveda. This course will be delivered through lectures, discussions practical classes and self-learning. The course will be assessed through in-course continuous assessment and final examination. Successful candidate will be awarded a certificate.

General Aims of the Course

This short term course aims to provide the basic knowledge of Ayurveda. This course is itself enough to encourage and fulfill individuals eager for knowledge and updating himself/herself on Ayurveda has a health care system which could be useful in maintaining of good health. The Course is basically to give the knowledge of basic concepts of Ayurveda.

(Online Lectures on above topics will be conducted – 30 hours, some online & offline practical’s will be conducted – 20 hours and also Self-study for the students – 30 hours.)

Modes of Assessment Weightage:

  • Continuous Assessment (Theory and Practical Demonstrations): 50%
  • Final Examination: 50%
  • Total: 100%

A minimum attendance of 75% in theory and practical classes is required.

Note :

  • Individuals who have completed the Introductory Course and can produce a certificate only need to study the topics in italics.
  • The right to practice is governed by local laws, depending on the knowledge and skills they have gained.
  • It is advisable to undergo the High Proficiency Course in Basic Principles of Ayurveda for a better understanding of this course.
  • This is not a graduate or doctoral course; it is intended for the dissemination of Ayurveda knowledge.
